Oh what a night! Mr Pole Dance 2017 did not disappoint. The atmosphere at The Factory Theatre was electric! The sold out (for the first time) predominantly female crowd were treated to everything from contortionist creatures, mannequins, ninjas, gods, geeks, and geishas. They (the audience) lapped it up, showing their appreciation in screams, squeals and applause, and the odd yelling of I’m pregnant… Okay that was me haha.

The costumes were magnificent, and the bodies in them even better. There were confetti cannons, autumn leaves, glitter, back up dancers and nudie runs.

David Aeon was victorious with a super strong sexy Magic Mike mega mix show. David’s show had everything! Tricks, sex floorwork, sex striptease, sex and did I mention sex? Haha it was so sexy!!!

Speaking of sexy, check out Ian from Taiwan…. Wowsers there was a puddle under my seat and I didn’t spill my drink!!! Ian (not surprisingly) received my X Factor star watch award.
First runner up was Quan Bui with another super sexy show (what’s with these boys and their amazing butts ??) and second runner up was Damien – an absolute stand out in the first half with a gorgeous ethereal routine.

The show started strong and remained that way throughout, judging would have been near impossible. I had a top six, and could not have chosen between them. The fabulous Andrea Ryff, James Taylor and Miss Filly did so well – but there was much deliberation before a final result was decided upon. Rumor has it there was less than a point between the top five!

If I mentioned all the gorgeous boys this would be a novel not a review so I will summarise by saying Mr Pole Dance 2017 was sensational from start to finish. Every single competitor brought a show complete with stage presence, teeny costumes, great music and awesome tricks.

Maxi Shield was the greatest host (I’m so jealous she gets all the boys) but we made a deal tonight that when the boys get to the Enmore Theatre I will co host woohoo! And judging by the packed venue tonight it won’t be too long. Congratulations boys, you were all sensational. What an awesome show!
